Contract for Calligraphy Services

 

This contract is entered into on__________________ between Barbara Rhodes of "A Decorated Life, Inc." and ___________________________________________.  The total cost of the project will be

$________________________ for __________ addressed envelopes to be addressed in the style of

_______________________________ and returned to the client by the date:_____________________.

Cost: $1.50 each for outside envelopes ($2.00 for "Beethoven's Bud" style) and $.50 each for inside envelopes (single line).  Any necessary shipping, which will be billed at cost, will be added.

Contract items:

1.  A 40% deposit (check or cash) is required in advance to hold the date.  This deposit will be refunded in full up until the date of the delivery of the envelopes, unless #7 applies.  Balance for the project will be due upon delivery of the finished envelopes.

2.  The style to be used and the number of envelopes to be addressed can be changed until the date that the envelopes are delivered to me.  The cost per envelope will remain the same and the cost of the project (listed at the top of this contract) will be adjusted according to the change in the number of envelopes addressed.  Late addresses can be emailed to me and will be finished by the stated time if sufficient notice is given.  Any envelopes returned with incorrect or updated/forwarded addresses will be redone free of charge.

3. Addresses will not be accepted over the phone.

4.  Addresses and names must be submitted on a spreadsheet (example will be provided).

5. Customer agrees to provide extra envelopes in the amount of 15% of the total envelopes to be addressed.

6.  Envelopes must be delivered to me at least one month before the date of their mailing.

7.  Date of the contract can be changed by the client if I am contact first and agree upon such date changes.  Please appreciate that hand calligraphy is very time intensive.  If you desire a date change and my calendar is already filled for that period, I reserve the right to decline the change and to keep your deposit should you cancel the order.
